Two issues in Wylie ISD: Administrator indicted for child sex crimes; Students exposed to Islam and Sharia Law
On June 17, Zachary Neu, an administrator in the Wylie Independent School District (WISD), was indicted by a grand jury for alleged attempts to have sex with minors.
A press release from the United States Attorney’s Office in Texas says:
“Zachary Christian Neu, 32, of Richardson, was named in an indictment returned by a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Texas charging him with two counts of enticement of a minor…Neu was an Assistant Principal at Wylie East High School at the time of his alleged offenses.”
In an earlier report, WAFB News said Neu was arrested “after he allegedly offered to buy a student alcohol and lingerie in exchange for sex.”

The report explains how a former WISD student had received inappropriate text messages that led to an investigation into Neu. A second victim was identified after authorities executed a search warrant on Neu’s residence.
Neu was hit with an additional charge of “improper relationship between an educator and student” in connection to the second victim. WISD Superintendent Kim Spicer’s public statement can be read in this news report.
Neu had worked in WISD since 2017. He was promoted to dean of students in 2024 and became the assistant principal at Wylie East High School shortly thereafter, according to WAFB.
High school students exposed to Islam and Sharia Law
Another administrator at Wylie East High School resigned after receiving backlash over an Islamic event on campus.
On June 3, 2026, the left-leaning source KERA News reported:
“The district said Wylie East High school principal Tiffany Doolan informed them of her resignation on May 26. In February a group called Why Islam provided copies of the Quran, informational pamphlets and henna to students and allowed them to try on hijabs during lunch.
Wylie ISD [said] at the time a student club had invited the organization but did not follow district protocols.”
Doolan posted a photo of herself wearing a hijab in 2025 during a “World Hijab Day” celebration.

Doolan, who was hired in 2007, had served as principal at Wylie East High School since 2020.
In response to the Islamic function hosted by the Muslim Student Union, another student organized a counter-event to hand out Bibles and miniature Jesus figures to his peers. This same student organizer said he received death threats for calling out the pro-Islam display during lunch period.
After learning of the the counter-event, Superintendent Spicer sent an email to the WISD community that said, in part, “Wylie ISD respects the rights of individuals to distribute religious materials in public spaces in accordance with the law, and groups are welcome to make Bibles available to students and families.”
Here is a link to the Christian student’s Congressional Testimony wherein he cites WISD’s failure to stop the spread of Sharia Law propaganda on campus.
At one point, the student testified:
“Sharia is not simply personal religious observance. It is a comprehensive legal and political system that includes unequal treatment, restrictions on freedom of speech, harsh punishments, and fundamental incompatibility with the U.S. Constitution, Texas law, and American values of individual liberty and equality.”
WISD apologized for the incident and confirmed the outside group “Why Islam” should not have been present at the high school.
