Bethel School District included testosterone vials in a high school “pride” display
Bethel School District 403 (BSD) in Washington State is under investigation after Graham-Kapowsin High School included a controlled substance in its “pride month” display.
A post from the X (formerly Twitter) account of Brandi Kruse shows vials of testosterone injections prominently displayed alongside LGBT flags and gender books.
Fox News reported:
A Washington state district has removed testosterone vials from a high school pride display after administrators determined they had been added without authorization, including some vials that still contained a small amount of unknown liquid.
[BSD] said administrators discovered testosterone vials ‘that still contained a small amount of unknown liquid’ had been included in a Pride Month display at Graham-Kapowsin High School and removed them after concluding the items had not been approved by school leadership.”
BSD communications director Douglas Boyles was quoted as saying, “The inclusion of the vials was entirely unauthorized and did not receive approval from school leadership or administration. Administrators have removed the vials and identified the individuals responsible for adding them without leadership approval.”
Pierce County Sheriff Keith Swank responded to Kruse’s tweet affirming an investigation into the incident.
The district’s official statement does not fully explain why this happened and offers no apology to the Bethel community.
